Traffic signals at Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue in Evanston have been out of service since Thursday morning, when a truck knocked over the traffic signal control box.

Officials in the city’s transportation division are working to find a replacement controller and cabinet for the intersection, but say it may be sometime next week before the signals are up and running again.

In the meantime the busy intersection is being controlled with stop signs.
