A 49-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with battery after a Chicago Transit Authority bus driver told police the man hit him during an argument on the bus. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Dodge at Emerson
Kevin R. Pegues, 49, of 2001 Emerson St., was arrested at Dodge Avenue and Emerson Street and charged with battery after a Chicago Transit Authority bus driver told police the man hit him during an altercation on the bus. Pegues is due in court on Oct. 29 at 9 a.m.
Burglary
2100 Ridge
Keys were stolen from an unlocked 2007 Hyundai in a city parking lot in the 2100 block of Ridge Avenue between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
100 Elmwood
A purse was stolen from an unlocked 2003 Nissan in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue between 1:15 p.m. and 2 p.m. yesterday.
Criminal Damage
1900 Central
Someone damaged the planters on the sidewalk in front of Symphony’s Restaurant in the 1900 block of Central Street around 12:20 a.m. today.
Graffiti
Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk at Davis Street and Chicago Avenue, at Green Bay Road and Foster Street, Green Bay Road at Simpson Street, and on Chicago Transit Authority property in the 900 block of Colfax Street.
Theft
1700 Hovland
A license plate was stolen from a 2006 Honda motorcycle in the driveway of a home in the 1700 block of Hovland Court between noon on Oct. 6 and 2:45 p.m. yesterday.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
