Evanston police are investigating an incident in which a 25-year-old Skokie man was shot in the ankle in the 1400-block of Dewey Avenue.
Cmdr. Jay Parrott says the incident happened about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The victim was taken to Evanston Hospital where he was admitted for non-life-threatening injuries.
Parrott says police believe the incident may have been drug related. He says police are looking for two light-complected black male suspects with mustaches who drove off in a silver Chrysler.
One suspect is described as 6-foot tall and wearing a red hoodie and dark pants. The other was said to be 5-foot-8-inches tall and wore a grey hoodie and a baseball cap.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Evanston police at 847-866-5000.
