This morning’s rush hour was a sloppy one on Evanston roads, with about an inch of snow falling starting shortly before dawn.
Officials say city trucks were on the street by 5 a.m. focusing on primary streets and around schools.
Right now 14 large and small trucks are in service removing the snow.
Only flurries and snow showers are expected for the rest of the day with another possible dusting of snow this evening.
There’s a chance of freezing rain on Sunday that may bring the salt trucks out again.
