Officials say all main roads in Evanston are clear at this hour and side streets have been cleared except for the parking lanes.

Assistant Public Works Director James Maiworm says that after the two inches of snow Evanston got overnight, an additional three-quarters of an inch fell during the day today.

He says a small crew will be working overnight to push back parking lanes on the main routes and in the business districts. No snow removal work is expected to be necessary during the day tomorrow.

Maiworm says that on Sunday night crews will start a comprehensive cleanup of the business districts will begin to provide parking and improved pedestrian access to shops.

Additional clean up of parking lanes in the neighborhoods, he says, will be taken care of on Monday if needed.
