No snow parking restrictions are in effect on side streets in Evanston today.

Streets and Sanitation Superintendent James Maiworm says crews managed to keep main roads clear during the overnight storm with the help of a snow route parking ban, execept for a period after 4:30 a.m. when the heaviest snow started falling.

He says the total snowfall from the storm should be between two-and-a-half and three inches.

Maiworm says crews also managed to start plowing side streets overnight. That work is expected to continue through the day, with completion by around 7 p.m.
