Classes have been cancelled for all students tomorrow at Roycemore School in Evanston, due to predictions for heavy snow.

The announcement was made Thursday afternoon by text and email to Roycemore parents and guardians from Head of School Adrienne Finley Odell.

However, the school, located on Ridge Avenue at Davis Street, will take advantage of the absence of students to do a thorough housecleaning, aimed at reducing the health threat from the flu that is sweeping through the area.

“Given the number of students that have been ill in recent weeks,” Odell said, “we have scheduled for our cleaning crew to conduct a deep-clean/disinfection of the school over the weekend.”
