Evanston residents can go back to parking their cars in the usual places today. City officials declared an end to the snow emergency Saturday night.

Public Works Director David Jennings says crews worked overnight in business districts to continue sidewalk clean-up and haul out as much snow as possible.

He says the city has been using its snow melting machine to reduce the need to truck snow to storage areas and melted over 150 tons of snow on Saturday.
