Snow is expected to end in Evanston shortly, the city’s Public Works Agency says, with only a trace of snow showing on streets and up to an inch on grass.

Jim Maiworm, head of the infrastructure maintenance bureau, says public works crews are checking for slushy spots on streets, sidewaks and parking lots and will treat them as needed.

Flurries and light snow showers should continue thru mid-morning with little impact, he says, and temperatures are expected to warm up significantly later this week.
