City of Evanston snow parking restrictions will be in effect overnight Sunday and during the day on Monday and Tuesday.
Public Works crews are out plowing streets after the city received four inches of snow overnight. An additional two inches of snow is expected overnight Sunday into Monday.
To aid snow clearing operations, the following parking restrictions will be enforced.
A snow route parking ban will be in effect from 11 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday. That means parking is prohibited on main thoroughfares designated as snow routes .
Parking will be prohibited on the even-numbered sides of residential streets with parking on both sides that are not posted as snow routes on Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
And parking will be prohibited on the odd-numbered sides of the same streets on Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Most streets with parking on one side only now have permanent “ODD date” or “EVEN date” signs that allow them to be plowed during Snow Emergencies. Please follow the posted signage.
Vehicles that violate the parking restrictions are subject to ticketing and towing. More information is available on the city’s website.
