The "snow emergency" for side streets with parking on both sides will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The City’s emergency sirens will sound at 8:15 p.m. tonight and at 7:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Saturday as a reminder to residents to move their cars.

Cars parked illegally on the side streets are subject to a $35 ticket and a towing fine of $100.

Most streets with parking on one side only now have permanent odd or even date signs that allow them to be plowed during snow emergencies.

Inquiries about snow removal should be directed to Streets and Sanitation, (847) 866-2940, or publicworks@cityofevanston.org.
