Evanston public works crews are out pre-treating streets today in anticipation of a snow storm expected to start Wednesday evening that may drop a little over three inches on us by noon on Thursday.

Edgar Cano of the city’s Public Works Agency says we can expect much colder conditions by Friday, but temperatures are expected to rise to near 40 degrees on Sunday.

The National Weather Service says the overnight low Thursday night could reach 4 degrees and the weather service is warning of potential ice jams on rivers in the region Frioday and Saturday.

    Promises, promises …

The last few times we heard that turned out really disappointing.  I hope the weather gods finally come through.
