Six snowblowers were taken from a secured storage area in the 2200 block of Maple Avenue. This among stories in Monday’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

BURGLARY
2200 Maple
Burglars stole six Toro snowblowers from a secured storage area in the 2200 block of Maple Avenue between April 8 and 12:30 p.m. Friday.

1700 Sherman
An attempt was made to force entry to a spa in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue by breaking the door glass around 10:15 a.m. Saturday. Nothing was reported taken.

635 Chicago
John E. Dawson, 67, of 510 South Boulevard, was arrested at 635 Chicago Ave. at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday and charged with burglary.

ASSAULT
901 Maple
Anthony J. Verthein, 29, of 13811 S.  Western Ave., Blue Island, was arrested at 901 Maple Ave. at 4:23 p.m. on April 8 and charged with assault.

BATTERY
316 Main
Adam J. Burton, 30, of 312 Main St., was arrested at 316 Main St. at 5:50 p.m. Sunday and charged with domestic battery.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
2400 Main
Someone damaged the tires of a 2016 Subaru in a parking lot in the 2400 block of Main Street between 8:45 a.m. Wednesday and 7:47 a.m. Friday.

ROBBERY
1600 Benson
A victim was approached by three unknown subjects who took his cash and a cell phone on a Chicago Transit Authority train at the Davis Street stop in Evanston at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

THEFT
2000 Warren
A license plate was taken from a 2006 Chrysler in the 2000 block of Warren Street between 10 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

2700 Green Bay
A license plate was taken from a 2014 Nissan in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

1100 Emerson
An exterior mirror on a 2008 Cadillac in the 1100 block of Emerson Street was stolen between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 p.m. Friday.

1500 Dewey
A package was stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of Dewey Avenue around noon Saturday.

1100 Chicago
A cell phone was stolen from a customer at the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Friday.

2400 Howard
Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street around 11:20 a.m. Saturday.

1600 Chicago
Food items were stolen from the Whole Foods Market in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday.

2200 Oakton
Tools were among items stolen from the Home Depot in the 2200 block of Oakton Street between 2:30 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. Sunday.

600 Chicago
Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 8:20 a.m. and again around 1 p.m. Friday.

TRAFFIC
South Boulevard at Chicago
Marie LeCoupt, 58, of 722 Dodge Ave., was arrested at South Boulevard and Chicago Avenue at 12:05 a.m. Sunday and charged with driving under the influence.

Ridge at Church
Gabriela Velazquez, 30, of 1637 Orrington Ave., was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Church Street at 10:35 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place at Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
