Evanston public works crews are expected to be the job overnight with the city forecast to receive another one to three inches of snow — mostly between 10 p.m. tonight and 8 a.m. Saturday.
Edgar Cano, who heads the city’s snow removal efforts says he’s hoping the warming effect of the lake and city development will keep temperaturs in the mid 30s and reduce the total snow accumulation on pavement to perhaps an inch-and-a-half.
The National Weather Service is forecasting between two and five inches of snow for the Chicago region overnight — with the heaviest accumulations west of the city.
