The National Weather Service says there’s a 100% chance of snow tonight and into Saturday with an overnight low of 5 degrees and a high tomorrow of just 14.

Edgar Cano, who runs snow operations for the City of Evanston, says we’ll likely see 2 to 2.5 inches of snow starting around 8 p.m. tonight and continuing through 6 p.m. Saturday.

Then we can look for a chance of lake effect snow on Sunday and a 60% chance of snow showers on Monday and Tuesday with perhaps 1 to 2 inches of new accumulation Monday and 2 to 3 inches on Tuesday.

Cano says crews are cleaning up from Thursday night’s event and are preparing for tonight.
