So you'd just like to curl up with a good book on this snowy day — well how about this! You could read through the School District 65 draft strategic plan instead.

You can download it here. And the school board would be delighted to get your comments on it through an online survey anytime between now and Feb. 11.

The plan lays out the district’s goals and strategies for the next three years.

“Thanks to the input of over 2,000 parents, teachers, staff members, students, and community members, we believe the draft plan is stronger and more reflective of our strengths and needs,” Candance Chow, District 65 school board member and strategic planning board liaison, said in a statement.

The public comment period will end on February 11, 2015 and there are several ways for people to provide feedback during this time:

Copies of the plan and the feedback form are also available at District 65 schools and all branches of the Evanston Public Library.

Three town hall meetings about the plan are also planned:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Chute Middle School, 1400 Oakton St.
  • Thursday, Feb. 5, from 7 to  9 p.m. at Nichols Middle School, 800 Greenleaf St.
  • Saturday, Feb. 7,  from 9 to 11 a.m. at Haven Middle School, 2417 Prairie Ave.
