The Evanston Township High School girls soccer team scored their ninth win of the season Thursday with a 2-1 victory over Stevenson.

The Wildkits, who had defeated Stevenson 2-0 earlier in the season, took an early lead with a beautiful goal at the third minute by Senior Fw Morgan Muno, her 10th goal of the season.

Stevenston equalized the game capitalizing on a defensive mistake at the 20 of the first half.   Evanston forced Stevenson to stay back and defend for for the entire second half and despite getting close to score several times the game finished regulation time on the 1-1.

At the second minute of the first extra time, Muno broke away from marking and was fouled in the box as she was getting ready to shoot. Olivia Bates stepped up to take a perfectly placed penalty and the game ended 2 –1 due to the golden goal rule.

The Wildkits are now 9-3-0 on the season.
