An amplifier, two speakers, and a bag with connection cables was taken from a 2006 Nissan between midnight and 8 a.m. on Friday.

2600 Reese

Someone broke a window of a 2012 Volkswagen to enter the vehicle in the 2600 block of Reese Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Nothing was reported missing.

Criminal Damage

300 Ridge

A hand sanitizer tower was broken in a medical office in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue around 4 p.m. Friday.

Drugs

751 Howard

Kelseybrooke E. Winston, 30, of Sheridan Road in Chicago, was arrested at 751 Howard St. at 12:42 a.m. yesterday and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Other

555 Howard

Lorraine Alexander-King, 58, of 7359 N. Greenview Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 555 Howard St. at 2:40 a.m. yesterday and charged with violating the city’s noise ordinance by yelling. She is due in court on April 29..

Shots Heard

600 Sheridan

Gunshots were reported in the 600 block of Sheridan Road at 11:34 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

1000 Cleveland

A beige four-door 2004 Toyota was stolen from the 1000 block of Cleveland Street between 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 and 12:11 p.m. Saturday.

1600 Chicago

Food was taken from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 8:50 a.m. yesterday.

1900 Dempster

Food that was left unattended in a parking lot in the 1900 block of Dempster Street was stolen around 4:17 p.m. Friday.

Alcoholic products were stolen from a grocery store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.

3300 Central

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from a parking lot in the 3300 block of Central Street around 3:15 p.m. yesterday.

800 Howard

Clothes were removed from a rack at a dry cleaning establishment in the 800 block of Howard Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Traffic

2100 Dempster

Paul A. Nation, 33, of 1727 Brown Ave., was arrested at 2100 Dempster St. and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 29 at 9 a.m.

751 Howard

Anthony Robinson, 52, of 231 Grey Ave., was arrested at 751 Howard St. at 12:42 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on April 8 at 9 a.m.

517 Elmwood

Jose J. Velasco, 40, of 5022 Fargo Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 517 Elmwood Ave. at 4:14 p.m. yesterday and charged with a ttraffic violation. He is due in court on April 22 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
