Evanston police say they’ve charged two workers at the Carnation Spa, 1239 Chicago Ave., with prostitution.

Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther says the arrests followed an undercover investigation triggered by an anonymous complaints from residents claiming illegal sexual conduct at the spa.

He says the investigation determened that female spa workers were engaging in inappropriate and illegal physical contact with customers.

Police identify the women, who both face one misdemeanor count of prostitution, as Angel Zijun Ho, 44, of 5625 N. Winthrop in Chicago and Jian Ping Yao, 48, of 2451 W. Howard in Chicago.

They’re both scheduled to appear in Skokie district court on April 28.

  1. Public announcement

I would have appreciated a "robo-call" regarding the prostitution arrests…all in the name of transparency of course.

  2. What about their customers?

No prostitution without willing buyers…what crime were the johns charged with?  And if not, WHY not?
