Got better things to do than laundry? Then let Park School students help. Take your smaller rugs, blankets, comforters, and winter coats to the school for washing.

The program is part of the Park School vocational program, which offers employment training for its students.

Park students will wash, dry, and bag your items in a sterile environment. The cost is $5 per load.

Also continuing at Park School is their free recycling and paper shredding service. Students will confidentially shred documents and miscellaneous paper items. For questions about the laundry or paper shredding program, call Hilary Natonson at 847-859-8438.

Park School students are also collecting used gym shoes and other shoes with rubber soles to donate to Nike for recycling into materials to make playgrounds.

Drop off locations are: Park School 828 Main Street, Nichols Middle School 800 Greenleaf St., Haven Middle School 2417 Prairie Ave., King Lab Magnet School 2424 Lake St., and Joseph Hill Education Center 1500 McDaniel Ave..
