The all-day rain yesterday, coupled with a holiday-shortened week, delayed the start of steel erection at the new Robert Crown Community Center, Ice Rink, and Library project, but it is now on tap for next week, according to the weekly status report from the construction manager.
Steel deliveries continued, however, and will continue next week as well at the construction site at Main Street and Dodge Avenue.
But workers plan to begin hoisting steel into the air as the outline of the building begins to take shape.
