Evanston police late this morning issued a news release indicating they still know very little about how a 25-year-old Northwestern University student died in a bathroom at the school’s library.

Brian Tsay of Northfield, a grad student in the School of Continuing Studies, was found by library staff members about 9:20 a.m. Sunday. Evanston Fire Paramedics responded and determined he was deceased.

Police Commander Tom Guenther says a joint investigation by city and NU police has turned up no signs of foul play or physical evidence indicating a cause or manner of death.

An autopsy Monday by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office didn’t answer those questions. A toxicology report from the medical examiner’s office, which may shed more light on the cause of death, is not expected for several weeks.
