Six stolen bikes, four reported gunshots, and three graffiti incidents were investigated by Evanston police over a busy weekend.  These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin.

Battery

1715 Dodge

Omar K. Lawrence, 35, of 1715 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that address at 7:15 a.m. Saturday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Aug. 2 at 9:30 a.m.

1102 Foster

Shadi Nadri, 22, of 1102 Foster St., was arrested at that address at 2:31 a.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. She is due in court on Aug. 2 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

900 Sherman

An unlocked 2006 Tribeca in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue was entered between 10:15 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. yesterday.

1800 Ashland

Cash was taken from a 2014 Chevrolet in an apartment parking space in the 1800 block of Ashland Avenue between 6 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Criminal Damage

1100 Brummel

A fence was damaged in the yard of a home in the 1100 block of Brummel Street around 2:30 a.m. Friday

Criminal Trespass

1033 University

Raven L. Jaffe, 24, of 1941 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1033 University Place at 1:15 p.m. Friday and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. He is due in court on Aug. 24 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti

500-600 Sheridan

Three incidents of graffiti were discovered in the alley in the 500 and 600 blocks of Sheridan Road at 12:39 p.m. Saturday.

Shots Heard

Florence at Greenleaf

Gunshots were reported at Florence Avenue and Greenleaf Street at 10:18 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Church at Brown

Gunshots were reported at Church Street and Brown Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Church at McDaniel

Gunshots were reported at Church Street and McDaniel Avenue at 6:29 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Jackson at Emerson

Gunshots were reported at Jackson Avenue and Emerson Street at 9:27 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

800 Sherman

The theft of a coin-op machine in an apartment common area in the 800 block of Sherman Avenue occurred between midnight on July 1 and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

1600 Hinman

A bicycle was stolen from the 1600 block of Hinman Avenue between 3 a.m. Wednesday and 11:20 a.m. Friday. Another bicycle was stolen on the block around 9 a.m. Thursday and still another was stolen around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Church at Chicago

A bicycle was stolen from the sidewalk near Church Street and Chicago Avenue around 5:24 p.m. Saturday.

1400 Pitner

A bicycle was stolen from the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Pitner Avenue between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. yesterday.

2200 Greenwood

A bicycle left unattended in the 2200 block of Greenwood Street was stolen around 11:12 p.m. Saturday

1200 Dempster

Headphones were removed from a backpack at a religious institution in the 1200 block of Dempster Street between 4:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

999 Howard

Lewis T. Acott, 19, of 110 Jill Lane, Streamwood, was arrested at 999 Howard St. at 2:45 a.m. today and charged with retail theft.

2450 Main

Cristian Gallardo, 23, of 1944 W. Touhy Ave., Chicago, was arrested at  2450 Main St. at 3:50 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.

635 Chicago

Edward Sanders, 38, address unknown, was arrested at 635 Chicago Ave. at 12:14 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Aug. 14 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

1600 Dodge

Krystal Elaine Hunt, 46, of 4137 Emerson St., Skokie, was arrested at 1600 Dodge Ave. at 11:46 a.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Aug. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

1709 Dodge

Thomas D. McCray, 53, of 1800 Emerson St., was arrested at 1709 Dodge Ave. at 11:16 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Aug. 24 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
