Tonight’s Evanston City Council meeting has been cancelled because of the weather.

City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz says it became evident early this evening that not enough aldermen would be able to make it to the 7 p.m. meeting to have a quorum.

Bobkiewicz says he may be able to reschedule the main issue up for discussion this evening — plans for a possible new Robert Crown Center ice arena — to next week’s council meeting.

  1. Is it a blessing or a curse

Not 100 % sure but I think the snow storm is a blessing. No city council meeting means no more damage can be done, today.
