ETHS weather makeup days announced

Evanston Township High School officials have announced additional class days for students to make up for last week’s weather-related closures, including the school’s first E-Learning Day on Feb. 22 and regular classes on June 10.

On Feb. 22, students will not report to school, but will work remotely. Electronic Learning Days have been approved by the Illinois Board of Education as a day of instruction for students who are not physically present at the school and that is accessible to all students.

ETHS teachers will share their E-Learning plan with their students prior to Feb. 22, including details such as logging in to Google Classroom, recording attendance, and expectations for the day.

More information about e-learning is available on the ETHS website.

Monday, June 10, the second makeup day, will follow a shortened bell schedule.

Two other calendar adjustments have been made, including a change in the dates of semester exams -- now June 4-6 with makeup on June 7 -- and a delayed start to the first summer school session.

Why didn't they work remotely when it was cold last week?
