Paid Post: Back for its 18th year, Thursday Night Live returns with a 10-concert series to downtown Evanston. From mid-June through August, each Thursday night will spotlight a different music genre from classic rock, Beatles tribute, Salsa, Swing, Honky-Tonk and more.

Bring friends and family to enjoy an evening of live music, dancing and relaxing from 7 to 9 p.m. at the plaza outside of 1603 Orrington Ave. Grab a to-go dinner from one of the local restaurants to dine al fresco or grab your partner to dance the night away. Chairs are provided, but guests are welcome to bring other seating.

This year Downtown Evanston is providing fun, free activities and entertainment for children including face painting, balloon artists, jugglers and more. In addition, as always there will be big games such as Scrabble, Jenga and more.

This is a free event and all ages are welcome. Thursday Night Live, in downtown Evanston, is accessible via public transit by taking the CTA Purple Line “el” to the Davis; or take Metra to the Davis stop. There is street parking and garage parking available at Sherman Plaza with entrances on Davis Street and Benson Avenue.
