Theater: Practical Theatre Company returns

A comedy improv group founded by NU students in the 80s is back with a classic radio show at Studio5. The Nutcracker meets the Wizard of Oz at Noyes again this weekend. And “Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods” continues at Music Theater Works. Check out what’s on stage in an around Evanston this weekend.

Practical Radio Theatre on the Air
The Practical Theatre is back with a classic radio show featuring grown-up comedy, great live music, and spectacular handmade sound effects! Plus adult beverages! The show will be recorded for later broadcast on WDCB.

Nutcracker(ish)
The Nutcracker meets The Wizard of Oz in this modern retelling of both stories. Join Clara, Toto, the Snow Woman and the Nutcracker on their journey to have their holiday wishes granted by the mysterious Sorceress. Children of all ages will enjoy this magical journey filled with classical ballet and the beloved Tchaikovsky score.

The Full Monty
Based on the cult hit film of the same name, a group of unemployed steel workers from Buffalo come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash.  In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed… not merely physically but also emotionally.

Holiday Inn
