It’s the last weekend to catch the Irving Berlin musical “Holiday Inn” at the Marriott in Lincolnshire, while steelworkers will continue to take it all off in “The Full Monty” at Theo Ubique in Evanston through the end of the month.
Based on the classic film, this musical tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut… but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim’s luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July.
At Marriott Lincolnshire, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, runs through Jan. 6, tickets $50-60.
The Full Monty
Based on the cult hit film of the same name, a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed… not merely physically but also emotionally.
At Theo Ubique, 721 Howard St., runs through Jan. 27, tickets $25-50.
