Evanston health officials reported three new COVID-19 cases among city residents today while the state reported 1,317 new cases, its highest total in more than a month and more than double the low point reached just four days ago.

Evanston’s case count now stands at 812. The death toll here remained unchanged today at 70.

Chicago repored 332 new cases today for a total of 54,676 and nine more deaths for a total of 2,666.

There have now been 151,767 COVID-19 cases reported across the Illinois and, with 25 more deaths today, the death toll now stands at 7,144.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported test results from 32,987 more people today for a daily positive rate of 4%. The seven-day positive rate now stands at 2.9%, up from 2.6% yesterday.
