The storm that on Monday was expected to drop six inches of snow on Evanston starting today has tracked further south than originally predicted, and now forcasters say we may only get an inch to an inch-and-a-half.

The heavier snowfall amounts now are expected to hit central Illinois and northern Indiana.

Edgar Cano of Evanston’s Public Works Agency says the snow is likely to start here between 8 and 10 p.m. and be over by about 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
