Police are investigating a report of shots fired into an apartment bedroom in the 1900 block of Foster Street around 9:06 p.m. yesterday.
Burglary
500 Barton
Burglars broke a window to enter a 2006 Audi in the 500 block of Barton Avenue between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. yesterday.
Barton at South Boulevard
Burglars broke a window to enter a 2007 Toyota near Barton Avenue and South Boulevard between 7:10 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. yesterday.
1500 Wesley
A purse was stolen from a 2012 Toyota in the 1500 block of Wesley Avenue around 8:45 p.m. yesterday.
A purse was stolen from a 2011 Volvo in the 1500 block of Wesley Avenue between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. yesterday.
Graffiti
Dempster at Chicago
Graffiti defaced a sidewalk near Dempster Street and Chicago Avenue between midnight Monday and 8:40 a.m. yesterday.
Other
1600 Maple
Police received a report of a man with a gun in the 1600 block of Maple Avenue around 6:09 p.m. yesterday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.
Theft
1000 Chicago
Two cars, a 2013 Nissan and a 2008 Nissan, were stolen from an auto dealership in the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue between 7 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Monday.
1900 Green Bay
A 2016 Mazda rented from a car rental firm in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road on Nov. 21 was never returned as of 1 p.m. yesterday.
2485 Howard
Muharrem Abazi, 21, of 2445 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 9:17 p.m. Monday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Feb. 14 at 9 a.m.
Traffic
1224 Chicago
Fabian Jose Carbajal, 22, of 2224 W. Cermak Road, Chicago, was arrested at 1224 Chicago Ave. at 12:59 p.m. today and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Feb. 22 at 9 a.m.
1919 Howard
Guadalupe Escamilla-Solis, 22, of 1932 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1919 Howard St. at 8:17 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
1325 Howard
Rodolfo Abimael Lopez, 22, of 4649 N. Kenmore Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1325 Howard St. at 5 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
1600 Monroe
Elo Christian Owolide, 19, of 325 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1600 Monroe St. at 7:15 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
