3 iPads stolen from office at Sketchbook

Three iPads were among items reported taken during a weekend burglary at Sketchbook Brewing in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue. This among stories in today's daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

800 Chicago

Burglars entered Sketchbook Brewing between 12:48 a.m. and 8 a.m. Saturday. Among items taken from an office were three iPads.

3200 Grant

An unlocked door provided access for burglars to the garage of a home in the 3200 block of Grant Street between midnight Thursday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Bicycles and tools were among items taken.

300 Ridge

Stereo equipment was taken from a daycare facility in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue via an unsecured door between 9:31 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Assault

1901 Dempster

Dameon T. Sanders, 37, of 1423 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1901 Dempster St. at 12:52 p.m. Saturday and charged with assault. He is due in court on May 24 at 10:30 a.m.

1567 Dodge

Tracy S. Williams, 42, of 1567 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that location at 1:15 a.m. yesterday and charged with aggravated assault.

Criminal Damage

300 Ashland

Someone damaged a fence at the yard of a home in the 300 block of Ashland Avenue between 8 p.m. Friday and 2:19 p.m. Saturday.

Other

1454 Elmwood

Faith M. Norte, 20, of 7709 Tripp Ave., Skokie, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 8:31 a.m. Friday and charged with child endangerment. She is due in court on May 24 at 10:30 a.m.

Theft

1000 Chicago

Someone removed money from the cash register of a dry cleaning establishment in the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue between midnight Thursday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

800 Clark

A man's bicycle, left unattended in the 800 block of Clark Street, was stolen between 11:20 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday.

1700 Orrington

Documents were removed from a purse at the Evanston Public Library between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

Ridge at Washington

Brandon D. Covington, 30, of 708 Reba Place, was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Washington Street at 8:57 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on May 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
