A purse containing credit and debit cards that was left unattended at the McGaw YMCA, was reported stolen between 4:05 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. yesterday.
A bicycle that was secured in an apartment common area in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue was stolen between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 p.m. Sunday.
A locked bicycle on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen between 7:10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. yesterday.
Donald R. Finley, 56, of 1319 Pitner, was arrested at that address at 6:50 a.m. today and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Oct. 31 at 9:30 a.m.
Someone damaged a window frame and screen at a home in the 1300 block of McDaniel Avenue around 8 p.m. yesterday.
Someone pulled the screen off the front door of an apartment in the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. yesterday.
Church at Brown
Gunshots were reported at Church Street and Brown Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Dempster at Ridge
Joan C. Grodecki, 62, of 480 Hillcrest Drive, Wilmette, was arrested at Dempster Street and Ridge Avenue at 7:58 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Nov. 27 at 9 a.m.
Dominguez Ocampo, 36, of 4829 W. Palmer Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1501 Ridge Ave. at 10:53 a.m. yesterday. He is due in court on Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m.
