Two downtown parking lots sustained damages to their gates over the weekend.  These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

500 Church

The parking garage gate at the lot in the 500 bock of Church Street was damaged between 2:57 a.m. and 4:11 a.m. Saturday.

1800 Maple

The parking garage gate at the lot in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue was damaged around 6:20 p.m.  Saturday.

Battery

1235 Elmwood

Victor Hugo Quintana, 32, of 1235 Elmwood Ave., was arrested at that address at 5:37 a.m. Saturday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Nov. 27 at 9 a.m.

Burglary

400 Custer

An attempt was made to enter an unlocked vehicle in an alley in the 400 block of Custer Avenue at 11:18 a.m. yesterday.

Drugs

2200 Dempster

Jaren M. Walker, 24, of 1810 Laurel Ave., and Gabrielle A. Welch, 23, of 229 Flora Ave., Glenview, were arrested at 2200 Dempster St. around 7:30 p.m. Friday and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Shots Heard

300 Sherman

Gunshots were reported in the 300 block of Sherman Avenue at 6:41 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

600 Grove

A package containing clothing that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 600 block of Grove Street was stolen between 1:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday.

1600 Ridge

A package containing hygiene items and plants that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue was stolen around noon Saturday.

Traffic

Davis at Orrington

Minh H. Bien, 34, of 3439 Greenbriar Drive, Glenview, was arrested at Davis Street and Orrington Avenue at 4 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Dec. 31 at 1:30 p.m.

1224 Dempster

Rebecca S. Jones, 60, of 836 Elmwood Ave., was arrested at 1224 Dempster St. at 6:39 p.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Dec. 14 at 9 a.m.

Keeney at Sheridan

Andrea H. Warburton, 62, of 550 Sheridan Square, was arrested at Keeney Street and Sheridan Road at 7:30 p.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Dec. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
