Glasses taken from unlocked vehicle

Even your glasses are not safe if left overnight in an unlocked vehicle. This among stories in today's daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

2600 Reese

Glasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2600 block of Reese Avenue between 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

Theft

600 Chicago

A former employee is suspected of taking druigs from a convenience store in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue between 2 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. on Dec. 15.

800 Chicago

A gray Toyota Camry was considered stolen when it was not returned to the rental company in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue on Nov. 28.

600 Hinman

Miscellaneous merchandise delivered to an apartment common area in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue was stolen between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

Office equipment was taken from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 6:11 p.m. on Wednesday.

1700 Sherman

Two wallets, left unattended in the office of a theater in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue, were stolen yesterday, one between 7:50 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., the other between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.  

Traffic

415 Howard

Jonathan M. Cross, 30, of 7014 S. Sangamon St., Chicago, was arrested at 415 Howard St. at 7:05 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Feb. 11 at 10:30 a.m.

9500 McCormick

Pedro J. Cuevas, 18, of 2015 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 9500 McCormick Blvd. at 11:21 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Jan. 30 at 1:30 p.m.

9554 Central Park

John Philip Williams, 18, of 2437 N. McAree, Waukegan, was arrested at 9554 Central Park Ave., Skokie, at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Feb. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
