Burglary

700 Ridge

Burglars forced open the rear porch door to enter an apartment in the 700 block of Ridge Avenue between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. yesterday. Jewelry and credit cards were reported missing.

1500 Oak

Medications were stolen from a hotel in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. yesterday.

Theft

2000 Warren

Wheels and tires were removed from a 2017 Honda in the 2000 block of Warren Street between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1:36 a.m. Thursday

Howard at Ridge

Kurt P. Garbutt, Jr., 28, of 1724 W. Juneway Terrace, Chicago, was arrested at Howard Street and Ridge Avenue at 12:53 a.m. today and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on June 21 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

1509 Ridge

Stephen D. Perkins, 21, of 1812 Emerson St., was arrested at 1509 Ridge Ave. at 10:20 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on May 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
