Farina arrested again on home repair charge

For the second time this year, Evanston police have arrested Kerry J. Farina, 38, of 2004 Foster St., on a charge of home repair fraud. This among the stories in today's daily crime report from Evanston police.

5600 Old Orchard

Kerry J. Farina, 38, of 2004 Foster St., was arrested at 5600 Old Orchard Road at 12:47 p.m. yesterday and charged with aggrevated home repair fraud. Earlier this year, Farina was arrested on Jan. 4 involving incidents in the 300 block of Ashland Avenue, the 1000 block of Wesley Avenue, and the 2500 block of Harrison Street, according to EPD Cmdr. Ryan Glew.

The current charge, Glew said, invoived an incident in the 1900 block of Brown Avenue.

Criminal Damage

900 Maple

Someone shattered a window at a mental health facility in the 900 block of Maple Avenue around 11:09 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

1400 Hinman

Graffiti was discovered at 9 a.m. yesterday on the street in the 1400 block of Hinman Avenue.

Theft

800 Madison

Vehicle parts were taken from a 2011 Nissan while parked in the 800 block of Madison Street between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday.

600 Hinman

A package containing a laptop computer that was delivered to an apartment common area in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue was stolen around 2:47 p.m. Sunday.

2600 Ridge

Keys and a purse were taken from an unlocked office at Evanston Hospital between 2 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. Monday.

Traffic

1600 Ridge

Keisha L. Moseley, 43, of 1371 N. Whispering Springs Circle, Palatine, was arrested at 1600 Ridge Ave. at 7:13 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on March 7 at 1:30 p.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
