A quarrel over a mutual girlfriend on April 9 led to the arrest this week of a 19-year-old Chicago man on an assault charge. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.
Recardo I. Persaud, 19, of 1826 W. Pratt Blvd., Chicago, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 10:37 p.m. Monday and charged with assault, following a quarrel with another man over a mutual girlfriend on April 9 at a parking lot at Darrow Avenue and Emerson Street.
A laptop computer was stolen from an apartment in the 800 block of Dobson Street between 12:30 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. yesterday.
A tire was punctured on a 2008 Ford in the driveway of a home in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue between 8 p.m. and 11:47 p.m. yesterday.
A mailbox was forced open at an apartment common area in the 100 block of Clyde Avenue between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7:19 p.m. yesterday.
South Boulevard at Sheridan
Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk near South Boulevard and Sheridan Road at 9:22 a.m. yesterday.
Graffiti was discovered at 7:16 a.m. today at a park building in the 500 block of Sheridan Road.
Dobson at Custer
Gunshots were reported at Dobson Street and Custer Avenue at 10:55 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Hygeine products were stolen from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 9:18 p.m. yesterday.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
