Theft

300 Ridge

Keys, photo IDs, credit and debit cards, a cell phone, clothing, and miscellaneous merchandise were among items taken from an office at Presence St. Francis Hospital between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on March 30.

600 Grove

A bicycle was taken from an apartment storage area in the 600 block of Grove Street last week.

1616 Sherman

Sarah K. Murphy, 21, of 1720 Maple Ave., was arrested at 1616 Sherman Ave. at 2:15 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft.

Battery

1817 Washington

Anthony Singleton, 19, of 1818 Main St., was arrested at 1817 Washington St. at 10:38 p.m. yesterday and charged with aggravated battery.

Burglary

1900 Orrington

A laptop computer and a purse were stolen from an unlocked 2015 Honda in the 1900 block of Orrington Avenue between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday.

2000 Sherman

Glasses were taken from an unlocked 2019 Pontiac in the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and noon yesterday.

Criminal Damage

2100 Dewey

A foot indentation was found in a stairwell wall in an apartment common area in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue at about 10 a.m. Saturday.

Shots Heard

Judson at Kedzie

Gunshots were reported at Judson Avenue and Kedzie Street at 11:24 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

Asbury at Brummel

Gerardo Cervantes, 64, of 606 Asbury Ave., was arrested at Asbury Avenue and Brummel Street at 6:46 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on June 18 at 10:30 a.m.

2046 Dewey

Keisha Colston, 30, of 2046 Dewey Ave., was arrested at that address at 10:38 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on May 29 at 9 a.m.

1616 Sherman

Louis Herczfeld, 71, of 2424 W. Estes Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1616 Sherman Ave. at 12:27 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 4 at 9 a.m.

310 Asbury

Amirah M. Muhammed Bey, 25, of 6444 N. Hamilton Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 310 Asbury Ave. at 6:33 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 4 at 10:30 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
