Bar Louie patron arrested after threatening officer

A female bartender at Bar Louie called police for assistance with a patron. The incident  resulted in an assault arrest after the patron allegedly threatened the officer. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Assault

1520 Sherman

Jason R. Jung, 42, of 1406 Chicago Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1520 Sherman Ave. at 3:15 p.m. yesterday and charged with assault after allegedly  threatening a police officer who was summoned by a female bartender at Bar Louie. Jung is due in court on June 4 at 10:30 a.m.

Burglary

2100 Dewey

A burglar took cash from a 2010 Chevrolet after a forced entry in an apartment parking space in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue between 10 a.m. and noon yesterday.

Theft

400 Florence

A white 2013 Ford was stolen from the 400 block of Florence Avenue between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7:49 a.m. yesterday.

1000 Grove

Cash and credit cards were taken along with a purse that was left unattended at the McGaw YMCA between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. yesterday

Church at Wesley

A crossing guard’s backpack was taken while left unattended at Church Street and Wesley Avenue between 3:15 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. yesterday.

1640 Chicago

Patrick Theodore Luhrs, 31, of 4037 W. Melrose Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 5:50 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on June 18 at 1:30 p.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
