A bicycle was stolen from an apartment building on Chicago Avenue, a 2017 Toyota was ransacked by burglars on Emerson Street, and a tail light was damaged on a 2019 Kia on Oak Avenue. These are among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1700 Chicago

A bicycle was stolen from an apartment storage area in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue between Friday and 12:15 p.m. yesterday.

Burglary

1100 Emerson

Burglars broke a passenger side window and ransacked a 2017 Toyota in a business parking lot in the 1100 block of Emerson Street between 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. yesterday, taking identification, keys, and credit cards.

Criminal Damage

1800 Oak

Someone damaged the driver’s side tail light of a 2019 Kia in the 1800 block of Oak Avenue around 1:34 p.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

600 Howard

Graffiti was discovered yesterday at 6:36 p.m. at a retail establishment in the 600 block of Howard Street.

Other

Elmwood at Main

Ray Lamon Ridge, 19, of 1476 Simpson St., was arrested at Elmwood Avenue and Main Street at 4:02 p.m. on April 21 and charged with fleeing or eluding police. He is due in court on May 30 at 10:30 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
