A dozen thefts, including three motor vehicles, were recorded in Evanston during the long Memorial Day weekend. These are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1100 Fowler

A red 2013 Kia sedan was stolen from the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue between 12:30 a.m. Thursday and 8:24 a.m. Friday.

2300 Ridgeway

A gray four-door 2015 Jeep was stolen from the 2300 block of Ridgeway Avenue between 11 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Ridge at Dobson

A black 2005 Chrysler sedan was stolen from Ridge Avenue and Dobson Street around 4:42 p.m. yesterday.

600 Pitner

Tools were taken from a storage facility in the 600 block of Pitner Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Friday.

900 Maple

A cell phone was taken while unattended at a mental health facility in the 900 block of Maple Avenue around 10:40 a.m. yesterday.

1500 Chicago

Someone removed cash from a wallet at the Hyatt House in the 1500 block of Chicago Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and noon Saturday.

1700 Sherman

Contents were removed from a purse at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

1600 Sherman

Clothing items were taken from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

Clothing items were taken from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 7:25 a.m. yesterday.

1900 Dempster

Alcoholic products were taken from a grocery store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street around 10:15 a.m. Friday.

2000 Greenwood

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken while secured at a store in the 2000 block of Greenwood Street around 11:32 a.m. Friday.

2800 Lincoln

Tools were stolen while unattended in the yard of a home in the 2800 block of Lincoln Street between 12:10 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. Friday.

Battery

101 Ridge

Gregory M. Talley, 26, of 9920 W. 153d St., Orland Park, was arrested at 101 Ridge Ave. at 11:10 p.m. Saturday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on June 5 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

800 Davis

Cash and credit cards were taken from an unlocked 2011 Lexus in the 800 block of Davis Street between 1 p.m. Sunday and 4 p.m. yesterday.

1100 Wesley

Someone entered an unlocked 2008 Toyota in the 1100 block of Wesley Avenue between 3 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Criminal Damage

1400 Brummel

Two mirrors were broken and scratches were inflicted on the drivers side of a 2010 Lexus in the 1400 block of Brummel Street between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. yesterday.

Criminal Trespass

1500 Sherman

Jawaun A. Alexander, 23, of 5404 S. Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1500 Sherman Ave. at 3:48 p.m. Thursday and charged with trespass onto real property. He is due in court on July 20 at 9 a.m.

Johnny O. Hodges, 28, of 6947 S. Carpenter St., Chicago, was arrested at 1500 Sherman Ave. at 4:08 p.m. Sunday and charged with criminal trespass onto real property. He is due in court on July 2 at 9 a.m.

2220 Greenwood

Trini J. Botello, 33, of 6152 S. Major Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2220 Greenwood St. at 1:15 a.m. yesterday and charged with criminal trespass onto real property. He is due in court on June 5 at 9:30 a.m.

Drugs

1017 McDaniel

Carl H. Dennison, 36, of 1407 Foster St., was arrested at 1017 McDaniel Ave. at 11 p.m. Friday and charged with manufacture or delivery of cannabis.

2421 Dempster

Trenton Alexander Hunt, 19, of 3327 Church St., Skokie, was arrested at 2421 Dempster St. at 1:58 a.m. yesterday and charged with possession of cannabis.

Graffiti

2100 Dempster

Graffiti was discovered at a religious institution at 2100 Dempster St. at 8 a.m. Friday.

Other

1406 Chicago

Luis G. Cruz, 37, of 1847 W. Armitage Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1406 Chicago Ave. at 10 p.m. Friday and charged with disorderly conduct. He is due in court on June 13 at 9 a.m.

220 Dodge

Aziz Rostamali, 45, of 220 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that address at 8:51 p.m. Sunday and charged with violation of an order of protection. He is due in court on June 5 at 9:30 a.m.

1711 Dodge

Dyeasha L. Sibley, 38, of 1711 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that address at 12:07 a.m. Sunday and charged with yelling in violation of a city ordinance.  She is due in court on June 13 at 9 a.m.

1454 Elmwood

Herman Townsell, 51, of 5525 S. Prairie Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 1:15 p.m. Friday and charged with failure to register as a criminal sex offender.

Shots Heard

Oakton at Ridge

Gunshots were recorded at Oakton Street and Ridge Avenue at 12:38 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

1968 Dempster

Evan M. Adell, 31, of 249 Ridge Ave., was arrested at 1968 Dempster St. at 10:18 p.m.Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 20 at 10:30 a.m.

619 Clark

Kevin Alcaido, 27, of 2745 S. Lawndale Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 619 Clark St. at 8:48 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 13 at 10:30 a.m.

1900 Dempster

David A. Nicholas, 29, of 1934 Jackson Ave., was arrested at 1900 Dempster St. at 10:40 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 5 at 1:30 p.m.

1968 Dempster

Devante J. Penick, 25, of 1575 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1968 Dempster St. at 11:28 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on July 2 at 10:30 a.m.

Dodge at Lyons

Kevin Theodore, 27, of 2010 Grey Ave., was arrested at Dodge Avenue and Lyons Street at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 20 at 10:30 a.m.

827 Dempster

Mazhar A. Toor, 42, of 50 Deer Path Trail, Burr Ridge, was arrested at 827 Dempster St. at 3:52 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 13 at 1:30 p.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
