A bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 1600 block of Benson Avenue was stolen between 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. yesterday.
A purse was stolen from a victim at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue between noon and 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
A beige Honda was stolen from an alley in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue between 4 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. yesterday.
Cash left unattended in a restaurant in the 700 block of Church Street was stolen between 1:40 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. yesterday.
Nelson Cruz, 35, of 2315 N. Mason Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 10:45 a.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 8 at 9 a.m.
Peter S. Baranovskis, 27, of 2017 Washington St., was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 2:45 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 8 at 9 a.m.
Nya C. Bent, 18, of 2001 Warren St., was arrested at 2201 Oakton St. at 6:45 p.m. yesterday and charged with theft.
A purse and clothing items were taken from a 2005 Toyota in the 1700 block of Wesley Avenue between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 10:20 a.m. yesterday.
Graffiti was discovered on an office building in the 1000 block of Howard Street at 11:41 a.m. yesterday.
