Thief rips off 6 Chipotle employees

Security video indicates that the same person entered the rear of the Chipotle Mexican Grill at 711 Church Street twice over the weekend and grabbed personal items belonging to a total of six employees.This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

711 Church

A young male entered the rear of the Chipotle Mexican Grill at 711 Church Street at about 4:02 p.m. Saturday via an unlocked door and returned the next day at about 9:32 a.m., according to security video, and stole personal items belonging to six employees of the restaurant.

1600 Sherman

Someone stole baby formula from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 3:50 p.m. and 4:53 p.m. Saturday.

1700 Orrington

A purse was stolen from a victim on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

1700 Lyons

A white 2017 Chevrolet was stolen from the 1700 block of Lyons Street between 3 p.m. Saturday and 6:44 p.m. yesterday.

1717 Benson

Ravshan Ibragimov, 51, of 1458 Chicago Ave.,was arrested at 1717 Benson Ave. at 12:02 a.m. Friday and charged with retail theft and criminal trespass. He is due in court on July 22 at 1:30 p.m.

1640 Chicago

Denisse Dana Jones, 48, of 2304 Barrington Woods Road, Palatine, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 4:45 p.m.  Friday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on June 25 at 9 a.m.

Battery

355 Ridge

Robert N. Saenz, 44, address unknown, was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 6:11 p.m. Saturday and charged with battery. He is due in court on July 29 at 9 a.m.

Burglary

900 Greenwood

Someone attempted to open the door of a 2018 Nissan in the 900 block of Greenwood Street at about 6:54 a.m. yesterday.

400 Davis

Cash and credit cards were taken from an apartment in the 400 block of Davis Street at about 11 a.m. yesterday.

2000 Orrington

Pry marks to the door was evidence that someone attempted to enter the garage of a home in the 2000 block of Orrington Avenue around 2:36 p.m. yesterday.

300 Callan

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from an apartment storage area in the 300 block of Callan Avenue around 8:06 a.m.yesterday.

Criminal Damage

2200 Emerson

Someone broke the front windshield of a 2000 Buick in the 2200 block of Emerson Street between 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. yesterday.

Other

1711 Sherman

James Brian Bolden, 50, of 1706 Madison St., was arrested at 1711 Sherman Ave. at 5:19 p.m. Friday and charged with disorderly conduct. He is due in court on June 27 at 9 a.m.

Shots Heard

2600 Harrison

Gunshots were reported in the 2600 block of Harrison Street at 9:23 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

2100 Sherman

Gunshots were reported in the 2100 block of Sherman Avenue at 10:30 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

1900 Dempster

Reona E. Sanders, 27, of 4911 S. Calumet Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1900 Dempster St. at 4:25 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on July 24 at 10:30 a.m.

1702 Grey

Rayshawn Level Taylor, 23, of 4824 Davis St., Skokie, was arrested at 1702 Grey Ave. at 7:15 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 24 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
