Theft

1000 Grove

Someone stole keys, a wallet, and clothing items from an unsecured locker at the McGaw YMCA between 6:35 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

2100 Wesley

Tools were taken from the yard of a home in the 2100 block of Wesley Avenue around 5 p.m. yesterday.

700 Clark

Money was removed from the tip jar at a restaurant in the 700 block of Clark Street around 5:30 p.m. yesterday.

1711 Sherman

Ava L. Lindsey, 47, of 1400 W. Greenleaf St., Chicago, was arrested at 1711 Sherman Ave. at 6:45 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.

Battery

1520 Sherman

Valando T. Dixon, 33, of 1450 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1520 Sherman Ave. at 10:40 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.

Burglary

300 Callan

A burglar entered the rear door of an apartment in the 300 block of Callan Avenue at 9:04 p.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

2100 Wesley

Someone shattered the back window of a 2018 Ford in the 2100 block of Wesley Avenue around 5 p.m. yesterday.

Other

220 Dodge

Aziz Rostamali, 45, of 220 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that address at 8:56 p.m. yesterday and charged with a violation of an order of protection.

Shots Heard

700 Hinman

Gunshots were reported in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue at 12:24 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
