‘No Trespassing’ sign stolen on Wesley

A “No Trespassing” sign was removed from the pole in an alley in the 2100 block of Wesley Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

2100 Wesley

Someone removed a “NoTrespassing” sign from a pole in the alley in the 2100 block of Wesley Avenue between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday.

2200 Oakton

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from a store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 2:45 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from  a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 2:10 p.m. yesterday.

500 Dempster

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from a restaurant in the 500 block of Dempster Street around 3:18 p.m. yesterday.

7407 McCormick

Ahmed J. Alobaidi, 24, of 6120 N.Hamilton Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 7407 McCormick Blvd. at 10:47 a.m. yesterday and charged with possession of a stolen automobile.

1640 Chicago

Andre Frazier, 54, address unknown, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 6:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 29 at 9 a.m.

Battery

2485 Howard

Juana Gallegos, 46, of 9142 Bennett Ave., was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 7:50 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.

Burglary

1200 Dewey

A bicycle was taken from the garage of a home in the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
