Arrested in attempt to flee police

A 21-year-old Chicago woman was arrested on Dodge Avenue this past weekend in connection with an incident that occurred the night of July 4 when she attempted to elude police who had given chase. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

2001 Dodge

Michelle Correa, 21, of 6110 N. Claremont Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2001 Dodge Ave. at 7:25 p.m. Saturday and charged with an attempt to elude police who had tried to stop her the evening of July 4. She is due in court on Aug. 8 at 9 a.m.

1241 Chicago

Luis A. Mendoza-Calixto, 28, of 6125 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1241 Chicago Ave. at 12:42 a.m. on July 12 and charged with sexual abuse.

Burglary

2700 Eastwood

A burglar damaged a door handle while attempting to enter the garage of a home in the 2700 block of Eastwood Avenue around 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

2000 Pratt

A laptop computer was stolen from an apartment in the 2000 block of Pratt Court between 2:05 p.m. and midnight Friday.

900 Mulford

A burglar forced open the door to an apartment in the 900 block of Mulford Street between 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Friday and took a tablet computer, jewelry, cosmetics, and office equipment.

Criminal Damage

2200 Madison

Someone broke the window of a home in the 2200 block of Madison Place with a rock at about 5:30 p.m. Friday..

1500 South Boulevard

Someone broke the window of a home in the 1500 block of South Boulevard with a brick at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

3200 Central

Someone broke the window of a 2003 Buick with a brick at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Nothing was reported taken.

1700 Ridge

Someone broke the window of an apartment in the 1700 block of Ridge Avenue with a brick at about 9:30 p.m. yesterday.

Theft

600 Callan

A tablet computer left unattended in the street in the 600 block of Callan Avenue was stolen between 5:30 p.m. and 6:16 p.m. yesterday.

Orrington at Davis

A bicycle that was unsecured to a bike rack at Orrington Avenue and Davis Street was stolen around 9 a.m. Friday.

1100 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from Binny’s Beverage Depot in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 11:50 a.m. on July 15 and 1:35 p.m. on Friday.

1700 Sherman

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Stereo equipment was taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue between 3:05 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. Saturday.

1640 Chicago

Roma A. Advaney, 58, of 1400 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 7 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on Aug. 22 at 1 p.m.

100 Chicago

Ringo Travis, 54, of 1749 E. 69th St., was arrested at 100 Chicago Ave. at 1:42 p.m. Friday and charged with theft. He is due in court on Aug. 22 at 1:30 p.m.

Traffic

1009 Greenleaf

James A. Basile, 54, of 1214 W. Granville Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1009 Greenleaf St. at 1:10 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.

Ridge at Grove

Luis A. Castaneda, 30, of 2321 N. Kostner Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Grove Street at 3:37 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 26 at 10:30 a.m.

1010 Grove

Ronal Gustavo Monroy, 36, of 3805 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, was arrested at 1010 Grove St. at 2:07 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m.

1636 Orrington

William P. O’Sullivan, 52, of 1624 Washington St., was arrested at 1636 Orrington Ave. at 7:49 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Sept. 3 at 9 a.m.

7100 Western

Anthony B. Scott, 27, of 2306 Madonna Ave., Joliet, was arrested at 7100 N. Western Ave., Chicago, at 10:56 p.m. on June 27 and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 2 at 10:30 a.m.

1400 Emerson

Teresa Lauren Taddei, 27, of 5514 N. Marmora Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1400 Emerson St. at 8:01 a.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Aug. 19 at 1:30 p.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
