A Chicago man was arrested last night when he refused to follow police orders to disperse during a disturbance following a rap concert at Darrow Avenue and Church Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.
Shon L. Franklin, 26, of 34 N. LaVergne Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. today at 1700 Darrow Ave. when he refused to disperse when ordered to by police during a disturbance following a rap concert. He is due in court on Sept. 3 at 9 a.m.
Keys and miscellaneous merchandise were taken from an office building in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 7 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.
A burglar entered a home through an open window in the 1300 block of Davis Street and stole a purse, cash, and a laptop computer between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 4:41 a.m. Friday.
Cash was stolen from an unlocked 2013 Ford in the driveway of a home in the 400 block of Barton Avenue between 10 p.m. Thursday and 3:52 p.m. Friday.
Glasses, hygiene products, and credit cards were taken from an unlocked 2016 Volkswagen in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of Brummel Street around 3:15 a.m. yesterday.

A bicycle was taken from a bike rack in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 8:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Saturday.
A bicycle locked in a general use parking lot in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue was stolen between noon Saturday and 12:33 p.m. yesterday.
A bicycle left unattended in the yard of a home in the 1100 block of Darrow Avenue was stolen around noon on August 5.
A tablet computer left unattended at a hardware store in the 2100 block of Dempster Street was taken around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

A 2006 Lexus was stolen from the 800 block of Clinton Place between 11 p.m. Thursday and 7:45 a.m. Friday.
Hygeine products were stolen from a CVS Pharmacy in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue around 11:53 a.m. Saturday.
A laptop computer left unattended in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue was stolen around 4:45 p.m. Friday.
An unlocked gray 2004 Toyota was stolen from the 700 block of Case Street between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Reynaldo Reyes, 46, of 5549 N. Lakewood St., Chicago, was arrested at 521 Ridge Ave. at 9:09 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 11 at 9 a.m.
Kevin C. Washington, 19, of 2011 Jackson Ave., Evanston, was arrested at 2599 Emerson St. at 9:22 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 11 at 9 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
