Robber slaps victim, takes cell phone

A robber slapped a 32-year-old Chicago woman in the face in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue and took her cell phone and $20 in cash. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

1700 Sherman


A robber stole a cell phone and $20 in cash after slapping his victim, a 32-year-old Chicago woman, in the face on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue just before 9 p.m. yesterday.


Burglary

 

1700 Main


Tools were taken from a construction site in the 1700 block of Main Street between 3 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday.


Graffiti


Madison at Florence


Graffiti was discovered on the street at Madison Street and Florence Avenue at 4:38 p.m. yesterday.


Sheridan at Arnold


Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk near Sheridan Road and Arnold Place at 11:20 a.m. yesterday.


800 Sheridan


Graffiti was discovered at a park in the 800 block of Sheridan Road at midnight yesterday.


900 Davis 

Graffiti was discovered on railroad property in the 900 block of Davis Street at 7:13 a.m. today.


Theft


2500 Prairie


Jewelry was removed from the bedroom of an apartment in the 2500 block of Prairie Avenue between 6:45 a.m. and 6:07 p.m. yesterday.


2200 Ridge


A bicycle that was secured in an apartment common area in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue was stolen between July 20 and 6 p.m. yesterday.


Traffic

1325 Howard


Bianca M. Feliciano, 26, of 3116 N. Major Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1325 Howard St. at 6:32 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m.


An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
