Apartment burglary on Foster

An open window provided access for a burglar to an apartment in the 1100 block of Foster Street during the Labor Day weekend. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1100 Foster

A Jan Sport backpack, a Nintendo Switch gaming system, a Samsung watch, and miscellaneous pieces of furniture were among items taken from an apartment in the 1100 block of Foster Street between 6:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday.

1100 Ashland

A 2016 Hyundai was entered in the 1100 block of Ashland Avenue between 6 p.m. Monday and 8:32 a.m. yesterday. Nothng was reported taken.

1100 Dewey

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2011 Toyota in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue between 4 p.m. Monday and 8:44 a.m. yesterday.

1000 Hull

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from an unlocked 2014 Ford in the 1000 block of Hull Terrace between 7:30 a.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Cash was taken from the garage of a home in the 1000 block of Hull Terrace between 2 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Theft

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 7:45 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

331 Howard

Linzie Janvier, 37, of 1025 Hull Terrace, was arrested at 331 Howard St. at 8:41 p.m. on Aug. 29 and charged with a traffic violation.

Ridge at Dempster

Toshiko A. Yasuda, 24, of 911 Seward St., was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Dempster Street at 12:25 a.m. today. He is due in court on Oct. 11 at 9 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
